Interpreting Japan’s Allocation Reality
Putting Japanese institutional realities into global perspective.
What RAIDO Is
RAIDO is an independent intellectual capital platform dedicated to interpreting Japan’s allocation reality.
It operates as a dynamic and interactive research boutique, evolving through research, dialogue and engagement.
Japan’s institutional structures and investment behaviour have evolved in distinctive ways. They continue to shape how global investment ideas are interpreted and implemented in Japan.
Rather than offering generic market commentary, RAIDO seeks to place Japanese realities into a broader global context, offering perspectives that are meaningful both locally and internationally.
Founded by Nobuo Ohtsuka, with 25+ years of experience in Japanese asset management, institutional investment and pension consulting.
Previously with Mercer and Nippon Life Asset Management
(formerly Nissay Asset Management)
